Title: Healthcare Benefits Consultant

Job Summary

Well-established, local independent sales and benefits consulting firm has immediate opening with an exciting career opportunity.  Looking for a motivated individual who would enjoy meeting, interacting and assisting people with their healthcare insurance and consulting needs.  Education and/or experience in human resources, marketing or business administration would be a plus.  Position includes salary plus unlimited commission potential plus full benefit package and training.  Eventual ownership opportunity possible for the right candidate.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Develop analyses for potential clients with quotes from a variety of companies
  2. Assist clients with enrollment and renewals of individual health insurance
  3. Guide companies to the best group plans for their organization
  4. Provide excellent benefits service to all clients
  5. Communicate with insurance providers to find the best possible plans
  6. Work to keep website, social media portals current and accurate
  7. Stay abreast of insurance regulations
  8. Become active in local professional and social organizations

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  1. Though education and experience would be helpful, the foremost qualification needed is the ability to work with the public in a manner that would generate trust, confidence and a long-term friendship and working relationship. The owner is willing to train the candidate found to excel in this area.
  2. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  3. Valid drivers license and transportation essential
  4. Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Products
  5. Excellent written and oral language skills in English
